PHOTOGRAPHY IS MAGIC

Photography freezes a moment in time, a moment that will never happen again in that exact way. Without it, those moments will eventually be forgotten. With it, we can always remember being backstage with Johnny Cash, the smile of a newborn baby, that time the cat knocked everything off the counter, or the exact way the light struck the George Washington Bridge, even if we weren’t there when it happened. That moment has been captured forever and can be shared with everyone.

IF THAT'S NOT MAGIC, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS

Veronica had never been to Las Vegas before. She hadn't really traveled much out of the small Minnesota town she lived in except to go to her office in Minneapolis. When her job told her she was going to be attending the conference in Nevada, her girlfriends excitedly began planning her trip for her. They had sent her to a Cirque du Soleil show that she loved. They insisted she spend some time in the casinos, but she didn't care much for that. She walked up and down The Strip, marveling at the buildings and, of course, stopping at the Bellagio to watch the fountains. For her last night there, her friends got her tickets to a show called "Fantasy". She was excited as the cab approached the giant glass pyramid with it's beam of light shooting straight up to heaven. She got a little nervous at the way the lightly dressed usher at the show told her to have a good time, but as the lights came down she politely applauded and waited for the curtain to come up. As the burlesque show kicked off, Veronica's eyes got wider and wider as the acts got more elaborate. When the show was over, Veronica just sat there in stunned silence until the smiling scantily clad usher came back and shook her shoulder. "Looks like someone really enjoyed themselves," she said with a wink.
