PHOTOGRAPHY IS MAGIC

Photography freezes a moment in time, a moment that will never happen again in that exact way. Without it, those moments will eventually be forgotten. With it, we can always remember being backstage with Johnny Cash, the smile of a newborn baby, that time the cat knocked everything off the counter, or the exact way the light struck the George Washington Bridge, even if we weren’t there when it happened. That moment has been captured forever and can be shared with everyone.

IF THAT'S NOT MAGIC, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS

Nothing made Devon happier than watching his kids play. He would take them to their favorite playground at the park on the far side of town, even though the park right by their house was a much shorter walk. The kids said that playground was "lame" and Devon didn't ever want to disappoint them. He would always sit on the bench where they could see him, but far enough away that they didn't feel like he was hovering. He would never call out like the other parents when the kids were climbing or doing something where they might get hurt. Devon wanted them to be free to explore, but the second they fell, he was there to pick them up and let them know that everything was going to be okay. Right now they were involved in a heated game of tag with a group of other children. Devon took a deep breath of the fresh air and just smiled.
