PHOTOGRAPHY IS MAGIC

Photography freezes a moment in time, a moment that will never happen again in that exact way. Without it, those moments will eventually be forgotten. With it, we can always remember being backstage with Johnny Cash, the smile of a newborn baby, that time the cat knocked everything off the counter, or the exact way the light struck the George Washington Bridge, even if we weren’t there when it happened. That moment has been captured forever and can be shared with everyone.

IF THAT'S NOT MAGIC, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS

They had lived in the same house for over 40 years. They used to know everyone on their street, but neighbors had come and gone and some were friendlier than others. Still, they were the local historians and they had a good handle on who everyone was. Their neighborhood was quiet and they liked it that way. Now there were new neighbors moving in directly across the street. "I don't know," Matt said to Jill. "There's something about them." "Yeah," Jill replied, "they don't look right. Young. And so many kids." Matt nodded. "Yep, lots of kids." Jill shook her head. "Too many kids, if you ask me. Why do people like that have so many kids?" Matt shook his head. "Don't know, Jilly." Jill frowned. "I don't like it. No, I don't like it at all." They watched the movers carry in a wood dresser with blue painted flowers on the side. "Tacky," Jill said, clicking her tongue. "Sure is, Jilly, but what are you gonna do?" Jill groaned. "It's all changing."
